Commercial Planetary Mixer 10L–100L: Specifications and Buying Guide

Commercial planetary mixers help bakeries, restaurants and food production kitchens handle repeated mixing tasks at a scale that suits their daily output. If you are comparing a compact 10L unit with a larger 100L machine, bowl capacity is only the starting point. Electrical supply, motor power, machine footprint and the mixing applications you plan to run all matter.

Our range covers 10L to 100L nominal bowl capacities. The supplied specification sheet lists gear transmission models from 10L to 30L and belt transmission models from 20L to 100L. This guide lays out the published model data and the questions to ask before selecting a machine.

The figures below are transcribed from the supplied model sheet. Dimensions are listed as provided in millimeters; confirm the dimension order, plug type and electrical configuration before ordering. A bowl’s nominal volume does not specify the safe working load for every recipe.

What can a planetary mixer be used for?

A planetary mixing action moves an attachment around the bowl as it rotates on its own axis. Depending on the selected attachment and the machine’s rated working load, a commercial mixer may be used for cake batter, whipped cream, frosting and other bakery preparations. Some dough and denser mixtures require substantially more torque than their volume suggests. Confirm the approved attachment, speed and maximum batch weight for your exact recipe before using the mixer for dough or heavy fillings.

How to choose a 10L–100L mixer

  1. Start with your actual batch weight. Measure ingredients per batch and ask for the rated working capacity for that recipe. A 20L bowl is not a promise that it can process 20L of every mixture.
  2. Match output to workflow. Smaller 10L–15L models may suit test batches or lower volume production; 20L–30L models offer a midrange choice; 40L–100L models are intended for larger production plans. Calculate how many batches you need per shift and allow time for loading, mixing, unloading and cleaning.
  3. Check electrical supply. The listed 10L and 15L models use 220 V / 50 Hz; listed 40L–100L models use 380 V / 50 Hz. The 20L–30L listings require voltage clarification. Check local frequency, phase and installation requirements with a qualified electrician.
  4. Plan access and placement. Compare the listed dimensions and weight with door openings, floor space, operating clearance and the route into your kitchen or production area. Request a model drawing before finalizing the layout.
  5. Select the configuration. Both gear and belt transmission options appear in the 20L and 30L range. Ask for the available speeds, included tools, bowl and guard configuration, service requirements and warranty for the particular model. The supplied sheet does not state these details.

Gear vs. belt transmission: which should you request?

The model range offers a choice at 20L and 30L. Transmission type alone does not establish which unit is better for your application: compare the seller’s rated batch load, speed range, service schedule and included equipment for the exact machines quoted. If you need a 10L or 15L unit, the supplied list shows gear models; for 25L and 40L–100L, it shows belt models.

Questions to send with your inquiry

For an accurate recommendation, tell us your target capacity, ingredients and batch weight, batches per hour, available voltage/phase/frequency, destination country, and required attachments. We can then confirm the matching model, current configuration, dimensions, lead time and quotation.

Frequently asked questions

Is 20L bowl capacity the same as a 20L working batch?

No. Bowl capacity is its nominal volume. Safe working capacity depends on the product’s density, viscosity, attachment and the manufacturer’s rating for the specific model.

Which models are available at 20L and 30L?

The supplied sheet lists B20s and B30s as gear transmission models, and B20M and B30M as belt transmission models.

Do the mixers support 60 Hz power?

The supplied specifications list 50 Hz only. Ask whether a suitable 60 Hz configuration is available for your market; do not assume the listed machine can be connected to 60 Hz power.

Are a whisk, beater, dough hook or safety guard included?

The supplied images and specification table do not establish the standard accessory package. Request a written list of included attachments and safety features for your selected model.
